Welcome to “the innerword.net”
An attempt is being made through this homepage to question perennial issues concerning the spiritual and gross material hypostasis of man.
At the same time, we would like to present to our readers the kind of image that emerges of that man who might approach life through a holistic perspective of spirit-soul-matter. For example, in approaching these matters and taking into consideration on the one hand the outer factor of matter, and on the other hand the inner factor spirit, the relationship which develops between them, and the influences that arise from one to the other....
Of course, by reading this and whatever will follow, it does not necessarily mean that one will gain personal experience of the above issues which concern the deeper essence of life, nor is the aim of this homepage to influence the reader to accept a specific view point or to maintain a particular stance of life.
The aim of this homepage is to try and stimulate the reader's mind to question serious issues that concern his life.
Despite the fact that from the scientific point of view we are literally bombarded by every kind of information daily, still certain issues of particular importance continue to be covered by "Veil of Isis". Issues which waver his conscience retrogressing it between blind faith and ignorance for all that one feels and cannot approach in detail so as to reach a level of solid and indisputable truth. Such themes for example are:
- Where does man come from, where is he going, and what is he aiming at?
- Is there "a God", or is it a matter of giving an alternative name to the causal factor? Is it possible that something specific can emerge out of the chance factor; and if so, is there a possibility of repeating that which emerged out of chance?
- Is it not obvious that from every cause, whether of chance or conscientious act, that an analogous effect will occur? Is it possible that this complicated and admirable order of life on our planet would be the outcome of chance?
- What are the "superb" spiritual books and their teachings? Could they be the inspirations of human fantasy, or as their writers claim "god-sent" teachings?
- And should they be god-sent teachings, why is it that the various spiritual traditions present vast differences between them? Why are these texts written in such a way that even simple human logic can detect so many obscurities, contradictions, and in many instances incoherence?
- And finally, having arrived in the present at such high levels of awareness, why do we continue to be so unhappy? At the end, what is that huge "emptiness" that we feel inside us? Why do we consciously destroy ourselves and our planet?
- Is it feasible that man can maintain a state of permanent joy, peace and fulfilment?
- Could there be something which overtakes us and we do not realize it?
For the man of today, the simple exchange of information through mass media has replaced the knowledge since it takes away the possibility of in-depth search. As a result of this situation, a tendency has been formed within him to focus superficially on the phenomenon of life without seeking the real purpose of the phenomenon! By formulating his beliefs in this manner, he finally ends up working more and more mechanically without himself being the motivating factor on the events concerning his own life.
The actual receiving of information in itself is neither destructive nor useful! The point is whether one can make use of it. However, it is important to bear in mind that the future development of any state of being depends on the one hand on perennial immutable and invariable physical laws, and on the other hand on the choices made by man at any given moment!
Here we are dealing with two powers of which, as far as the human will is concerned, one is firm and immutable, while the other is changeable and fluid and depends exclusively on human choices. We could conclude therefore that the future trend depends completely on human choices.
Consequently, the future will be the result of present choices, and the present is no more than the design which emerged as a consequence of past choices. It is true to say, however, that the choices of man emerge from the combined effort of his desires and level of awareness.
We can therefore say that both the future and the past are dependant on nothing more than the shaping that has occurred on the one hand on the organ which creates desires, and on the other hand on that organ that the awareness imposes as to what is good and useful, or bad and destructive.
The "spiritual organs" are the heart and mind of man (the reference is not on the physical organs of the human body) which perceive, elaborate and evaluate life's events, and project the personal wishes of the individual.
On the basis of this evaluation, it is concluded that everything on man is dependant on the shaping of these two organs; therefore should it be considered purposeful, one should aim not only to get to know their functions but also on how to upgrade their function.
On the homepage, under the section "know thyself", a short but detailed account is given with regard to the basic powers or attributes (organs) which characterize the human spirit.
